Following the government’s announcement (16.03.2020) around Coronavirus (COVID-19), England Netball’s Health Advisory Group has reviewed the government guidance provided and has made the difficult decision to suspend netball activity across the country at all levels of the game at this time.
The health and safety of the Netball Family is our main priority and to avoid the spread of Coronavirus we will be continuing to follow the government’s advice, which is to move away from mass gatherings and for the public to avoid any unnecessary contact where possible over the coming weeks.
This means suspending competitions, courses, events, programmes, training sessions and all other forms of netball activity until further notice.
As of today (17.03.2020) all NDCNA Netball activity is suspended until at least Easter but we will be taking guidance from the Government and England Netball.
Suspended activities include;

The intention is make up the sessions where we can so you shouldn’t require a refund. Please discuss this with your Performance lead and contact email@example.com if a refund is required.

Yes, as this has been cancelled. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to request your money back.

How have you found the process of becoming qualified?
Absolutely fantastic, I have had great support from the county and my club, finding me mentors and supporting me. Even with my anxiety I have managed to get through my C award in less than a year, so thank you to all involved.
I have recently undertaken the course for the B Award and will spend the next year or two concentrating on that.
What advice would give to anyone interested in becoming an umpire?
Do It! It is scary at first, but then very rewarding, and of course the payments help ha. North Durham County will give you great support throughout.

Here at North Durham we wanted to show our support to Laura.
In August Laura was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer, it’s aggressive, and advanced. Laura was told that there was little treatment available for this type of cancer. Laura has been put forward for a trial but she may not be a suitable candidate, there are treatments available outside of the NHS so her family are asking for donations to send Laura abroad for specialist treatment. This route of funding is not something Laura has wanted to chase but now is willing to try anything to save her life.
Wednesday the 13th March we will have donation buckets available, ask family and friends to come spectate. We would like our players/coaches and umpires in the league to bring £1 to go towards the fund.
Come on ladies let’s get this ball rolling......we can do this together.
Let’s not say I wished I had donated, or done something, let’s say, I’m pleased we did something.
Fixtures will run as normal the above is additional.
